THE PREPOSITIONAL CASE STRUCTURES WITH ANTERIORITY AND POSTERIORITY MEANING IN SERBIAN AND SLOVENIAN LANGUAGE

Abstract

In this paper we observe prepositional case structures with temporal meaning, especially those with anteriority and posteriority meaning in Serbian and Slovenian standard language. The structure is drawn from three novels published in these two languages, where the base language is Serbian with which we compare Slovenian examples. The whole purpose of contrasting is pointing out the similarities and differences in the system of both languages, especially on the synchronous level, taking into account the form and meaning of each construction.
